How to Integrate Jaz with Tofu

Learn how to connect your Jaz account to Tofu, export transactions from Jaz, and import them into Tofu for extraction and review.

Written by Reth Sabay

⚠️ Important:
This is an early feature. Jaz integration is currently read-only. Publishing extractions directly to Jaz will be available soon.

In the meantime, you can continue using the Jaz (Excel) template to export your extractions and import them into Jaz.

Jaz is currently waitlisted. Contact support team or send an email to [email protected] to get it enabled for your organization.

1. Enable Jaz in Tofu

Go to Overview → Settings → Features and enable Jaz Integration. (Owner access required.)

2. Create API Keys

  • In Tofu, create and copy an API Key.

  • In Jaz, go to Account Settings → Access Management, create a new Admin API Key, paste the Tofu key, save, then copy the Jaz key.

3. Connect Jaz to Tofu

Go to Entity → Settings → Integrations → Add New Integration, select Jaz, paste the Jaz API key, and Connect.

Note: Jaz integration is Early Access and read-only. Tofu syncs accounting data from Jaz only.

4. Enable Self-Prompt

Turn on Self-Prompt (recommended for AP, AR, and Direct Expenses) and click Activate.

5. Verify the Sync

Open Accounting and confirm your accounts, tax rates, contacts, currencies, products, and tracking tags have synced.

6. Review & Export

Upload a document, review the extraction, click Save, then export it using the Jaz template (3 dots (...) or More Actions for one document or Bulk Export for multiple).

7. Import into Jaz

Import the exported file using the correct menu:

  • AP Bills: Purchases → Bills → Import Bills

  • AR Invoices: Sales → Invoices → Import Invoices

  • Direct Expenses: Reconciliation → Cash Flow → Import Entries In and Out

Click Finish and verify the imported transaction.

7. Verify the exported file in Tofu

Once everything is good in Jaz, go back to Tofu one more time, and perform the final action Verify.
