⚠️ Important:
This is an early feature. Odoo integration is currently read-only. Publishing extractions directly to Odoo isn't available yet.
In the meantime, you can use the Odoo (Excel) export template to export your extractions and import them into Odoo.
Before you begin: Generate an API key in Odoo
Odoo connects differently from Tofu's other accounting integrations. Instead of signing in and granting access through Odoo directly, you connect using an API key you generate yourself inside your Odoo instance.
To Generate an API key in Odoo
Log in to your Odoo.
Click your avatar (top right), then select Preferences.
Open the Account Security tab.
Click New API Key.
Enter a description and duration, then confirm.
Copy the key right away — Odoo only displays it once.
Note: The Odoo API key has an expiration date based on the duration configured during its creation. Once the API key expires, the connection between Odoo and Tofu will be disconnected until a new API key is generated and updated in Tofu.
How to connect Odoo
Go to Entity Settings.
Select Integrations.
Click Add New Integration.
Select Odoo.
Enter:
Server URL (e.g.
https://yourcompany.odoo.com)Database Name
Email
API Key
Click Connect.
Click Activate.
Your Odoo integration is now connected to the Tofu entity.
💡Tip: Before activating, you can turn on Self-Prompt for your AP Bills, AR Invoices, and Direct Expenses in the configuration panel. This lets Tofie learn from your historical transactions in Odoo and apply your coding patterns automatically during review. If you do not have historical data in Odoo yet, you can upload a CSV or Excel file instead in Entity Settings → Knowledge Base.
How to check if accounting data is synced
After connecting Odoo, you can check whether your accounting data is available in Tofu.
Go to Entity Settings.
Select Accounting.
Review the synced data such as accounts, taxes, items, contacts, currencies, and tags.
💡Tip: If you create new accounting data in Odoo, click the Sync
button in Tofu to refresh and update the data.
How to export and import extractions
Since Odoo integration is read-only for now, extractions aren't published back to Odoo directly.
For now use the export → import workflow instead:
Open the extraction in Tofu.
Review and verify all extraction details are correct.
Once satisfied, export the extraction using the Odoo (Excel) template.
Download the file.
Go to Odoo and import the file.
This lets you continue moving extraction data from Tofu into Odoo while direct publishing is still being developed.
💡Tips:
For a single extraction, you can export directly from the review page by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Export. If you need to export multiple extractions at once, go to the Extractions panel, select the extractions you want, and use Bulk Export.
To skip choosing a template on every export, set CSV Export Target to Odoo in Entity Settings → Features. Exports will then use the Odoo (Excel) template automatically.
If you switch between multiple export templates, keep CSV Export Target set to None so you can choose at export time.
