How to export .xlsx file from Tofu to Bukku

This guide explains how to export bills from Tofu as an .xlsx file and import them into Bukku as actual bill transaction(s).

1. Set Up Chart of Accounts & Sales/Purchase Tax

  • Ensure your Chart of Accounts is uploaded as a CSV.
    If not, follow this guide: Importing Chart of Accounts from Bukku to Tofu

  • Add and Verify tax codes follow Bukku’s format:

    • Purchases start with P (e.g., PSL10, PSL5, PSV8)

    • Sales start with S (e.g., SL5, SL10, SV8)

  • After extraction, adjust taxes and accounts if needed before exporting.


2. Select Entity & Prepare Documents

  • Choose your entity (e.g., Bukku) and expand the view if needed.

  • Upload the required document to the Source Documents section.

  • Extract the data from the document.


3. Export Items & Import Bills

  • Tick the box(es) for the items you want to export.

  • Select Bukku Excel format (XLSX).

  • In Bukku, go to Bills > Batch Bills > Import File.


4. Upload & Review Data (in Bukku)

  • Click Upload and select the exported file on your directories.

  • Review for blanks or errors.

  • Confirm that all items follow Bukku’s format.


5. Add Missing Suppliers & Finalize

  • Missing suppliers will be highlighted in red text.

  • To fix:

    If Tofu captured a new supplier not yet in Bukku, click “+” to add it.

    OR

If you want to assign it to an existing supplier, select from the Bukku list.

  • Once suppliers are resolved, review all selections carefully.

  • Click Save to create the bill in Bukku.
