Step 1: Select the Entity and Access the CSV Template

  • In Tofu, choose the entity that is not integrated with any accounting software

  • Confirm that the entity appears correctly

  • Click the gear icon

  • Navigate to Accounting > Accounts > Accounting Information

  • Open the provided CSV template for cross-referencing

Step 3: Retrieve Chart of Accounts

  • Go to All Reports in Bukku.

  • Scroll down and select Chart of Accounts.

  • Export and open it in Excel for cross-referencing.

Step 4: Transfer Data from Bukku to Tofu Template

The Tofu CSV template requires 4 columns:

  • Code

  • Account Name

  • Type

  • Description

Map the columns from Bukku to the Tofu template as follows:

Bukku Field

Tofu Template Field

Code

Code

Account

Account Name

Note: The Type and Description fields are not included in the Bukku export. These fields must be manually entered into the Tofu template to ensure accurate mapping. When filling in the Type column, make sure it matches the corresponding account type in Bukku (e.g., Expenses, Cost of Sales). This ensures accurate mapping and prevents errors during the import process.

Step 5: Save and Import the CSV File

  • Save the completed template as a CSV file

  • In Tofu, go to Accounting > Accounts > Accounting Information > Import

  • Upload the saved CSV file and complete the import process
