Once they've been a paying tofu customer for 30 days, you earn 5% off your subscription.
Refer more businesses to stack your savings, up to 50% off.
No codes, no extra steps. Your discount applies automatically and shows up on your next invoice.
The more you refer, the more you save

Every business that reaches 30 days adds another 5%, automatically.
For example, on the Enterprise plan ($349/mo billed annually):
2 referrals → save $419/year
5 referrals → save $1,047/year
10 referrals → save $2,094/year — half your subscription, free
What they get
The business you refer gets 5% off their first payment, or 10% off if you've already hit the 50% cap.
How to refer a business
Go to Organization Settings → Referrals.
Enter the email address of the business you want to refer.
Click Send invitation.
Track its progress anytime under Referral history.
The business you invited needs to accept the invitation to get started. Once they accept, they can create their tofu account and start a paid plan, and that's when the 30-day countdown to your discount begins.
Tracking your referrals
Every invitation you send shows up in a list with its own status:
Status | What it means |
Invited | Sent, but they haven't created an account yet |
Signed up | They have a tofu account. The 30 days start at their first payment |
Qualifying | Paying and active. The 5% unlocks after 30 continuous days |
Earned | Counted in your current discount |
Ended | Earned a discount, then cancelled, so it no longer counts |
Didn't qualify | Didn't reach 30 continuous days |
Withdrawn | You cancelled the invitation before it was accepted |
Declined | The invited business declined |
Expired | The invitation wasn't accepted in time |
Signed up elsewhere | They joined tofu without your invitation, so it can't be credited |
A few things worth knowing
What happens if a business I referred cancels?
Before 30 days, that referral doesn't earn anything. If they'd already earned you a discount, it drops by that 5%, and you can build it back up if they subscribe again and qualify a second time.
What if I cancel my own subscription?
Any referral discount you've built up is removed, and referring again afterwards starts from zero. See our Terms & Conditions for the full details.
