What You Can Bulk Edit
Bulk edit options depend on the extraction type:
AP Bills & AR Invoices: Account, Tax Rate
Bank Statements: Currency, Contact
Direct Expenses: Category, Tax Rate
For entities integrated with Xero or QuickBooks Online, Tags (such as Tracking Categories or Classes) may also be available and can be bulk edited when enabled.
Bulk edits apply only to the selected line items and override any existing AI suggestions for those fields.
How to Bulk Edit Line Items
Open a document in the Extraction Review panel.
Select at least one line item to enable Bulk Edit.
Select all: Click the checkbox beside # to select all line items.
Select individual line items: Click specific checkboxes.
Select a range of line items: Click the first line item, then hold Shift and click another line item. All line items in between will be selected automatically.
Choose what to update (Account, Tax Rate, Currency, Contact, Category, or Tags if available for your integration).
Select the value to apply.
You can also select Clear to remove the value from the selected rows.
Click Apply to update the selected line items.
Click Save Draft when you’re ready to save all changes (bulk edits and individual edits together).
💡 Pro Tip: Click the first checkbox, hold Shift, then click another checkbox to select all rows in between. You can make multiple bulk and individual edits before clicking Save Draft, which applies all changes at once.
Bulk Delete Line Items
You can now delete multiple line items at once during review.
Open the extraction and go to the line items section.
Select the line items you want to remove.
Click Remove rows.
Then Save Draft.
When to use bulk delete:
When Tofu extracted extra rows you do not need, such as duplicate lines, empty lines, or lines that belong to another section of the document.
Note: Bulk delete only removes the selected line items from the current extraction. It does not delete the full extraction or source document. The Remove rows button will be greyed out if all rows are selected, since at least one row must remain in the extraction.
Good to Know
Bulk Edit appears only after at least one line item is selected.
Bulk Edit affects only the selected rows.
You can still edit individual line items after applying a bulk edit.
Always review totals and tax amounts before publishing.
The availability of Tags depends on your accounting integration and enabled tracking settings.
