Why the Tofu (Excel) exists
Most export templates match one accounting software's column layout, so they can change whenever that vendor updates its import requirements.
Tofu (Excel) is different: one stable, comprehensive format per extraction type, not tied to any vendor. If you're on a bespoke or in-house system, it's the fixed contract on Tofu's side, your team or vendor maps it to your system, and that mapping stays reliable since the format itself never changes.

Note: Since the Tofu (Excel) exports every available field, some columns may be blank if that data wasn't captured for a particular document.
How to export using Tofu (Excel) format
Select your extractions.
Individual: open the extraction from the review page and click the three dots (⋯) > Export, or select it from the Extractions panel.
Bulk: from the Extractions panel, select the extractions you need. To select all, click the checkbox beside Extraction or use the keyboard shortcut Shift + E.
Click Export.
Choose Tofu (Excel) from the export format list. Available for AP Bills, AR Invoices, Bank Statements, and Direct Expenses.
Tips
Use filters (supplier, customer, or extraction type) to export only what you need.
Export in batches to make mapping easier.
