Using the Source Filter in Document and Extraction Columns

How to filter source documents and extracted documents created in Tofu from those synced from the accounting software.

Source Labels

Each document in Tofu has a source label, indicating where it originated. This helps you distinguish between documents created directly in Tofu and those synced from external platforms.

Tofu

The document was uploaded directly in Tofu.

Email

The document was submitted as email attachment via Email Integration.

Xero

The document was uploaded in Xero.

QuickBooks

The document was uploaded in QuickBooks.

SharePoint

The document was uploaded in SharePoint.

Google Drive

The document was uploaded in Google Drive.

Dropbox

The document was uploaded via Dropbox integration.


Key Steps

1. Accessing the Source Filter in Source Documents

  • Navigate to the Source Documents column.

  • Locate the new filter labeled 'Source'.

  • This filter allows you to sort documents based on their origin.


2. Filtering Documents by Source

  • Click on the 'Source' filter.

  • Select the desired source, e.g., 'SharePoint'.

  • To view documents from multiple sources, select additional sources, such as 'Google Drive'.


3. Applying the Extraction Filter

  • Move to the Extraction column.

  • Find the 'Extraction' filter in this column.

  • Click the filter to view the available options, such as extraction type (AP Bills, AR Invoices, Bank Statements), source (Tofu, Email, Xero, QuickBooks, SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox), and other extraction filters.

  • Be aware of documents created prior to the introduction of source labels.

  • Always double-check your selected sources to avoid missing relevant documents.
