✨ Top Highlights

🤖 Hand Tofie a CSV or Excel and let it learn

Self-prompt by CSV is no longer limited to non-integrated entities. Upload a CSV or Excel file to teach Tofie whether your entity is connected to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho, and Direct Expenses works too. Give Tofie a head start from your historical data.

🧮 No more rounding mismatches for non-integrated entities

Control how calculations work at the entity level: tax calculation method (line item vs. subtotal), tax decimal places, and total rounding precision. Your totals reconcile cleanly with whatever you export to.

🌿 New contact? Tofu adds it for you

When a document has a contact that isn't in your accounting software yet, Tofu creates it for you during review. Accounting data like accounts, tax rates, currencies, and tags stays read-only. Already connected? Reconnect Sage or Zoho Books to turn it on.

🧠 Reuse Knowledge cards across entities

Copy and paste a card, or import a full set from another entity, instead of rebuilding rules from scratch. Setting up a new entity that works like an existing one is much faster now.

⬆️ Upload from anywhere, in one click

The new Upload button sits at the top of your sidebar, so you can add documents from any screen. Pick the entity and extraction type, drag and drop your files, and you are done. You can also drag and drop files straight onto the review screen, then just pick an extraction type to attach them.

🧾 Tax that ties out, across QuickBooks Online

Edit the total tax amount directly above the Total on any QuickBooks Online bill, invoice, or direct expense. Tofu syncs your change back automatically, on both paid and unpaid documents, so your numbers always tie out. Works the same way on AR invoices and direct expenses.

🔧 Tofu Improved Features

Smaller updates that make Tofu more flexible across review, uploads, and integrations.

📄 Bigger bank statements: Auto-extraction now handles statements up to 100 pages, up from 60, so long monthly statements no longer need manual splitting.
🔁 Bulk actions on stale extractions: Retry Publish or Import on stale items in bulk instead of one at a time.
📍 Location field for QuickBooks Direct Expenses: Map Location when syncing direct expenses to QuickBooks Online.
🟢 Revenue account selection for Xero expenses: Map a Direct Expense to a revenue or income account when you need to.
🖼️ HEIC uploads: Upload iPhone photos (.HEIC) directly, no conversion needed.
↩️ Undo a delete: Deleting a single extraction now shows an undo toast for a few seconds, so an accidental delete is easy to reverse.
📑 Activity tab on empty extractions: Extractions with no data now show an Activities tab, so you can still see what happened and when.
↕️ Auto-scroll while reordering: Dragging a line item toward the top now auto-scrolls the panel, so long lists are easier to reorder.
🗂️ Entity folders in the sidebar: Group entities by client type, processor, or workflow stage. Folders are collapsible and personal to each user.
📤 More export flexibility: Pick any export template regardless of your connected software, set a target format at setup for non-integrated entities, and use new templates for MYOB, Sage 50c Pastel Partner (ZA), Sage UBS refinements, Access UBS, Express, Zoho Books PO number to Reference, NetSuite subsidiary, and Yayoi.

🎉 That's a Wrap!

June made Tofie smarter with CSV and Excel self-prompt on any entity, gave non-integrated entities cleaner totals, added contact write-back for Sage and Zoho, let you reuse Knowledge cards across entities, made uploading easier with two ways to add documents, and brought tax control to QuickBooks Online, plus a batch of review, export, and integration upgrades that cut out manual steps. More to come next month. Stay tuned!
